Businesses that have a revenue plan tend to grow three times faster than those that don’t.
I know what you’re thinking: “Revenue plan? Does that mean I have to use Excel?”
The revenue plan I’m talking about is about more than just inputting numbers into cells.
(Okay, so it does involve numbers, but it’s also so much more.)
It is about getting INTENTIONAL about what you want to do and where you want to take your business.
Having a revenue plan in place helps you make great decisions in your business (without having to go back to the drawing board every single time).
Having a revenue plan translates to having the ability to make decisions from a place of strategic intention, in order to stay aligned with our overall goals.
I was recently talking to some of my clients about the need to create a revenue plan, and one of them asked me “But what if you hate Excel?”
Let me tell you — you do not need to set up your revenue plan in Excel.
While I personally like it, I know that many people do NOT.
So, here it is: I am officially giving you permission to never open that program again!
In fact, you can create your first revenue plan on a piece of paper.
It can be in a notebook.
It can be on a sheet of construction paper.
It can be on an oversized napkin.
You can write it in coloured markers, add stickers and even slap some glitter on there. There are NO rules.
Whatever way inspires and motivates you is the BEST way for you to do it.
So figure out, right now, what your ideal life looks like. How much money do you want to make per year? Where will that income come from? What will you do to get it?
Once you’ve come up with your plan, stick to it — it’ll be your guide to keeping your business on track and in line with your vision!
