How to Increase Your Results Faster

Are you NOT getting the results you want in any area of your business or life?

You are not alone – The vast majority of people know what they need to do, or they know the result they want, but they don’t take the steps they need to take to get there.

Take a workout plan.

It takes 4 weeks for you to notice a shift in your body. 8 weeks for people closest to you to notice. It may take up to 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice.

But you can’t quit doing the daily work it takes to get there.

You must give it time.

Even if no one notices… Right now.

At the same time, you’ll stop doing the things that detract or don’t help you get closer to your goal. Like spending all day, every day sitting on the couch watching Orange is the New Black.

It’s similar in business – There are certain things you need to focus on to get results, and there are other things you can ditch. We are breaking it down in today’s episode and introducing you to a game-changing concept.

I’m also going to challenge you to start paying attention to what activities get you closer to your goal and what things you are doing that detract you from your goal.

Start paying attention to what you do that has impact…. And what doesn’t.

So, where do results come from? There is this game-changing principle you might have heard of, called the Pareto Principle. If you haven’t heard of this one, be ready, because this will change how you do business. Here’s the scoop. The Pareto Principle or the 80-20 rule, reveals that just 20% of the things that you do, get you 80% of your results. That’s big. This applies to your marketing efforts, sales, systems, relationship building, you name it. The 80-20 principle is a great concept to look at when you want to simplify, focus on what matters, get results, and do more in less time.

To put this into action, consider:

  • What 20% of what you do, makes you the happiest?
  • What 20% of what you do, gets you seen by more prospects?
  • What 20% of what you do, actually gets you more clients?

These are the places you want to put more of your energy.

You can also flip this, to identify what you can cut off of your to-do list.

  • What 20% of what you do, makes you crabby?
  • What 20% of what you do, makes you want to quit entirely, and totally throw in the towel?
  • What 20% of what you do, doesn’t really matter? If you don’t do it, nobody’s going to notice.

The answers to these questions help you see where you can stop spinning your wheels, and can potentially clone yourself. By “clone yourself”, I mean, automate, delegate, or outsource.

The 80-20 rule will show you where to spend your time, to get more done in less time. For example, if I only have one hour to work today, what am I going to spend my time on?

Spend your time on the activity that will get you the greatest results.

If you want to go deeper into this topic, you can look at actual data. For example, take a look at your marketing campaigns from the last year. Did you get the most out of consults, social media, webinars, or something else? You might find that one activity, more than all of the rest, gets you the most traction. Focus on the one that drives results.
