Why You Need to Take a Break + Free Planner Pages for You

I’m going to be completely honest with you. Today’s note is going to be quick and action oriented because I am flat out tired from the flood of energy I’ve had flowing lately.

It is all good energy though — I just returned from an amazing trip to Hawaii where I enjoyed sun, sand, time with family, and kahuku shrimp (YUM!).  Here are a few of the pictures I snagged while we were there:

Hawaii Rules

And today, I’m headed to see Oprah and Tony Robbins in Life Class!

Say what!!?

Yeah, baby! I’m on my way to see Oprah AND Tony Robbins!

I’m calm and collected about it all, but my stomach is dancing with first-date like excitement.

Needless to say, I’m feeling crazy lucky!

My heart, my soul, and my brain are all being nurtured in their own way.  Down time like this – you know the kind where you forget everything you knew before you went on vacation – is incredibly important.

Why?

#1. It is important for your health.  #2. The best ideas come in the down time.  Brainstorms and innovations rarely come when you are sitting at a desk demanding their arrival.

I was a good creative and took notes when ideas struck…The problem?

I did in fact get so relaxed on that vacation that I only immersed myself in the things I completely love doing and I forgot everything that was on my to-do list before I left.  …Woops!

On the upside, I wrote it all down in my fancy new planner before I left!  Yeah! So I didn’t lose moment and I can step right back into productivity when I get back at it on Tuesday.  Actually, I will likely be more productive than usual, because I’m super charged.

You can be super charged too with my fancy new planner pages too – free download alert.

I started using these about a month ago and they are saving my toosh!  Go old-school and print them if you’d like.  Or, do what I do and use them on your iPad.  I save them as custom paper to my notetaking app on my iPad and write or type on them directly into my in the planner notebook on my iPad.

Sleek Planner Pages                  Chevron Planner Pages

I want them sleek.                                                   I prefer chevrons.

Take the chevrons or the sleek black version and use them to identify your must do + would like to do items everyday.  Be bold.  Be inspired.  Be so productive it feels criminal.

I hope you love them and share them!

xo,

Amber

Our date is set for October 1st 2011. We are having a desnitation beach wedding. ut inviting our parents, siblings 5 close friends 3 of their significant others. Our wedding is about 12-15 hours away from our home driving wise. I have already found talked to: the person who is going to marry us, talked to 5 hotels ruled out going to 2 of them! Found a cake, talked to the baker to get a price. talked to a wedding planner to see about price (not going to use her services) Played once with looking up rental car/cars plane tickets. My MOH has her dress picked out, since she went with me to look for my dress. (my dress is going to take 2+ months to order in)My fiance thinks I’m rushing!Yes I know its a year away, but I have no booked a single thing! I want to get the best price. Some places are taken 3+ weeks to get a proposal back to me on their hotels prices. He thinks I’m rushing that I shouldn’t even start this should stop looking till at least the start of 2011.Am I really rushing? Or am I being smart? We are paying for the whole wedding on our own. Plus will probably be paying for his mom sisters to come down too. Plus our whole honeymoon after.I keep telling him I want things down before June-July 2011. Because we wont be able to make last minute changes being so far away! No running down to hotel to change things when its so far away!

Ofir:First, Thanks! I really aipaecprte your comments! As to your suggestions:a. hotels: will do, I’m working on it now :) b. anchors: you can do that already, although adding POI’s of your own ( custom POIs ) is currently not well supported, I will make it work better.c. Will do. After a big revamping, the tag system will do thatd. I plan on adding alternatives, and there are even more features down the road that will answer this issue. Regarding where trip planning will go Honestly, I don’t know, but I believe there is a market for this idea, and some people would like to just let go’.Re- enhancements will do, working on it now. Thanks again!

    hi amber

i love the chevron planners – thank you!

btw, i fully support this: “get so relaxed on that vacation that I only immersed myself in the things I completely love doing.”

that’s the idea of the vacation, right? actually, i think that’s the the goal period! yes?

    cheers from shana

I have been having rlguear facial treatments (ultradermie) here for several years and I wouldnt be without them! An hour of pampering with dim lights and gentle music is sheer bliss, and the results are certainly noticeable even as I approach my 60th year, my complexion is the best it’s ever been and receives rlguear compliments. The convenience of parking right outside is an added bonus and, when time permits, the peaceful walk along the canal takes only 20 minutes.

Oh Amber, I am getting excited for you – Lifeclass, wow! Plus, you’ve given me an oh-so-timely reminder to NOT work on the upcoming holiday, to relax and let those creative juices get flowing again. I love these chevron pages, thank you!

  7. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
